We meet once a month to share updates and upcoming events, hear from a speaker representing a community organization, and to connect with one another. Upcoming events include volunteering and networking opportunities. A light dinner will be provided.
The speaker for this meeting will be Jessica Ullyott, Founder of Nature Needs San Diego. The mission of Nature Needs SD is to inform people about local nature spaces and volunteer opportunities to promote the health of individuals, the community and the environment. Jessica is a former middle and high school teacher with a Masters in Teaching Biology. She is the author of Intentional: A Holistic Approach to Building and Maintaining a Sustainable Lifestyle. The proceeds from the book benefit the San Diego River Park Foundation.
Prospective members are welcome! Email us at least 24 hours prior to the meeting at mverotary@gmail.com to let us know you’re coming. If you aren’t a member, your first meeting is free. We ask $10 to cover the cost of dinner from members and visiting Rotarians.
This month in appreciation of the Mission Valley Library and in observance of National Literacy Month, we will be donating any happy dollars collected to the Friends of the San Diego Public Library, Mission Valley Chapter.
